| 재미있고 좋은 글 * 호두를 까면서 *
지난 설날을 앞두고 어느 회사에서
홍보차원으로 홍보인쇄물과 함께 나누어주는
호두를 몇 개 받았다
그것들을 어떻게 까먹을까 궁리하며
만지작거리다가 책상머리에 방치한 지
한 달여나 지날 즈음에 이젠 빨리 처리를 하지 않으면
안 되겠다고 마음먹고
손으로 내리쳐보기도 하고
바닥에다 힘껏 내동댕이쳐보기도 하지만
좀체 깨지지 않는다
마침내 어디서 망치를 구하여 호두를 내리친다
제아무리 단단한 호두껍데기라도
망치의 힘과 충격엔 당할 순 없었던 모양인지
빠작 하는 소리를 내며 두세 조각으로 또는
산산조각나듯 부서지면서 맛깔스런
호두 알맹이가 모습을 쏘옥 드러낸다
미지의 우주 하나가
제 몸의 신비를 완전히 드러낸 양상이다
순간, 내 귀에 흐느끼듯 들리는 소리
알맹이야 미안하다
알맹이야 미안하다
껍데기의 애틋하고 비통한 울부짖음이다
애써 못 들은 척, 알맹이를 날름 입에 집어넣는다
부서져 산만하게 널브러진 껍데기는 보기도 싫은데
알맹이는 어찌 이리 고소하더란 말인가
